Pt bina was established in 1992 and begins its coal mining business in 2003. Started as a coal mining contractor in serongga, tanah bumbu district and hence grow into a professional coal miner and exporter. Currently, it has business agreement with many other kp holders in areas such as tanah bumbu and kota baru districts. Total area of mine space under joint venture is about 1400ha with coal deposit of more than 30, 000, 000mt of various calories. Hauling and processing: Pt bina operates open-cut mining using conventional hydraulic excavator and truck mining system. The run of mine (ROM) coal from our open pit mine is hauled using dump trucks to over a distance of about 15 km to 30 km to our affiliated harbors. The ROM coal is stored and crushed to a size of 0-50mm at these harbors before being loaded unto barges of 300 feet capacity at a rate of 5000mt per day. Barging and transhipmentThe barges then travel approximately 26 mile to the vessel anchorage point in tanjung pemancingan. Full cargo will be ready floating on the barges the day before the vessel arrives. The coal is loaded from barges to bulk cargo vessel at a rate of 7, 000mt per day for geared handymax. For gearless vessel, floating cranes will be used and the loading rate is about 10, 000mt per day.
